Renewed: The Blacklist

James Spader reveals his crime series gets a 10th season.

The Blacklist has been renewed for a 10th season.

Star James Spader revealed news of the renewal during his appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon this week.

The series is currently in the middle of broadcasting its ninth season in the USA, where it averages 5.05 million viewers with a week of delayed viewing.

Diego Klattenhoff, Amir Arison, Hisham Tawfiq, Laura Sohn and Harry Lennix all feature alongside Spader.

The news is yet to be formalised by NBC.

The Blacklist screens in Australia on Seven network.

  1. The Blacklist has had it’s budget cut been been used to fill holes on Fri., Thurs. and late on Wed. night for the last few seasons. Megan Boone leaving will have helped costs further. S9 lacks the good episodes that previous season still in parts, but the reworking seems to have worked. It’s rating OK for those slots, although the numbers 1/4 of S1 ratings. Of course we have to wait and see when Seven shows S9.
