The current guidelines are that women with a BMI over 35 should not be considered for treatments like IVF. For some women, it’s a devastating blow to their lifelong dream of having children. Others go to extremes to lose weight so that they can meet the threshold. But what does the science say? With growing calls to end the ‘ban’, is it time to review the guidelines?
