ABC TV Plus doco shares real stories of people with disability, told by people with disability.

Sunday’s Compass episode on ABC TV Plus is “Perspective Shift” a documentary by Attitude Foundation which shares real stories of people with disability told by people with disability.

Attitude Foundation’s CEO, Matthew Field says, “The messages shared in Perspective Shift are the tools that society needs to move forward on the path to inclusion”.

The new instalment of Perspective Shift is a follow up to the initial 2019 series and tells the story of three professionals in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics), with disability. The series highlights the individuality of each person’s life and career, and the multidimensional nature of disability – highlighting the unique perspectives they bring to their field as well as their experiences of marginalisation and discrimination.

Featuring in Perspective Shift is Jackie Leach Scully, an internationally renowned bioethicist and disability activist, Oliver Morton-Evans, Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Neuromersiv, a medical technology start-up developing a new method of neurorehabilitation therapy utilising Virtual Reality, and Kenny Singh, Cyber Security expert at Microsoft Australia.

Attitude Foundation has commissioned research to support the themes explored in Perspective Shift and will be encouraging education professionals to utilise the series and research.
