Downton Abbey star wants Neighbours cameo

"I'll fly economy!" says Robert James-Collier, desperate to appear on 10 soap before it ends.

Robert James-Collier, who plays Downton Abbey‘s under-butler Thomas Barrow, is clearly a big fan of Neighbours, and upset the show is coming to an end.

Speaking with Angela Bishop on Studio 10 he joked, “I was about to say I’ve got an upcoming cameo on Neighbours, but it’s been ‘shot’ hasn’t it?

“I’m fuming. We grew up with that. There needs to be a worldwide petition to get Neighbours back on…. there is, surely? What’s Paul Robinson gonna do?

“I worry about them!”

When Bishop suggested he could hurry to Australia to make an appearance before filming ends in June, he agreed.

“Work’s a bit patchy at the minute. I’ll fly economy. Honestly!”

  1. The Neighbours producers and writers are in their own little bubble. They missed out on giving Adele a cameo when she was last in Melbourne, so she went and took a selfie herself in Pin Oak Court.

  2. Well hopefully the Neighbours crew hear this and invite him before he never gets a chance again.

They’ve had quite a few cameo appearances from UK actors and such over the years even if it’s just something in the background.
