Report: 10 political editor snubs live crosses

Budget night was never meant to be this difficult within 10 News department.

10 political editor reportedly refused to undertake live news crosses with 10’s Narelda Jacobs and Lachlan Kennedy on Federal Budget night, according to the Daily Mail.

Both Jacobs and Lachlan Kennedy have donated to a fund for colleague and reporter Tegan George in her lawsuit against Network 10. George has levelled bullying claims in her legal case, which the network has denied.

A ‘fighting’ fund has been set up to help George in her legal battle against her bosses at the network, now at over $53,000.

The Daily Mail reports Van Onselen declined to cross to either presenter during his coverage of the March 29 Federal Budget with both Narelda Jacobs (Perth) and Lachlan Kennedy (Brisbane).

However he did deliver crosses involving other staff.

Van Onselen is one of several employees named in George’s lawsuit which claims the station failed to provide a safe working environment.

The case continues.
