Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: trailer

Another look at Captain Pike, Spock & co. ahead of their May season launch.

A trailer has been released for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

The series will follow Captain Pike (Anson Mount), Science Officer Spock (Ethan Peck) and Number One (Rebecca Romijn) in the years before Captain Kirk boarded the U.S.S. Enterprise, as they explore new worlds around the galaxy.

The premiere was written by Akiva Goldsman with the story by Akiva Goldsman, Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet. Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers serve as co-showrunners, with Goldsman directing the premiere episode. Goldsman, Kurtzman and Lumet serve as executive producers in addition to Alonso Myers, Heather Kadin, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry, Trevor Roth and Aaron Baiers. The series is produced by CBS Studios, Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment.

Screening weekly from Friday, 6 May on Paramount+.

  1. Looks good, but then I remember Discovery is a mess, although watchable if you turn your brain off and forget the writers change the season arc every third episode. Picard is absolute garbage and I don’t even think they have a season long arc. Just some ideas they want to virtue signal and fail to do so.
    So will this be good? Pike was great in Discovery, maybe, but lets hope they have different writers than the other shows.
