First look at upcoming courtroom drama, led by Sam Neill, and screening in June.

Foxtel today released a trailer for itw new local drama, The Twelve, with Sam Neill leading and one of the biggest ensemble casts in the country.

The cast includes: Marta Dusseldorp, Kate Mulvany, Brooke Satchwell, Brendan Cowell, Pallavi Sharda, Hazem Shammas, Ngali Shaw, Jenni Baird, Matt Nable, Damien Strouthos, Louisa Mignone, Catherine Văn-Davie, Nicholas Cassim, Daniel Mitchell, Gennie Nevinson, Bishanyia Vincent, Toby Blome, Warren Lee, Susan Kennedy, Coco Jack Gillies, Silvia Colloca, Hamish Michael and Ben Mingay.

The Twelve is a gripping courtroom drama that tells the story of 12 ordinary Australians who are selected for jury duty in a murder trial as traumatising as it is controversial, in which a woman stands accused of killing her teenage niece.

The powerful, two-minute trailer offers a deeper look into the complex lives of the jurors that are examined over the ten-episode limited series, including stories of abuse, racism, addiction, and trauma – and how the pressures of determining the fate of the accused impact their own lives.

The 10-episode crime drama commissioned by the Foxtel Group, is produced by Warner Bros. International Television Production Australia in partnership with Easy Tiger Productions with major production investment from Screen Australia in association with Foxtel. Financed with support from Screen NSW. The series is distributed globally by Endeavor Content. Executive Producers for the Foxtel Group are Brian Walsh and Penny Win.

  1. This show was already on SBS. Think it’s Belgium so they must have copied that one. It was a bit slow but good – but why remake it? I was hoping for a good Aussie show like Wentworth or Place To Call Home. Foxtel must just only make remakes now and not new Aussie ideas – because that Love Me show is a remake too!!
