Tom Gleeson: “I will not be campaigning this year!”

Incumbent Gold Logie winner Tom Gleeson has declared he is not running a campaign to lobby for the 2022 Gold again.

Speaking yesterday at a media event he said, “I want to make it very clear to all the media present here, I will not be campaigning this year. There is no campaign from me. Because I don’t want to annoy anyone. I learned my lesson, and I’d hate to ruin the Logies again. So I want to make it very clear. If people vote ABC all the way and Channel Nine, Seven and 10 get no Logies, I would be devastated and extremely embarrassed if that happened again.”

Seemingly reversing his declaration, he added, “Don’t write it down actually, because I don’t want anyone to know that!”

But campaigns are already underway for Gleeson with Token Events hitting its mailing list to tell supporters to vote for the Gold.
