A new adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Why Didn’t They Ask Evans? debuts on ABC tonight.
The 3 past series features Will Poulter, Lucy Boynton, Hugh Laurie (who also writes and directs), Jim Broadbent, Emma Thompson and Aussie Maeve Dermody.
Ex-naval lieutenant Bobby Jones and his childhood playmate Lady Frances (Frankie) Derwent join forces to unlock the mystery of a dying man’s last words: “Why didn’t they ask Evans?”
This debuted in the UK in April.
9:30pm Sunday June 5 on ABC.

Or TBA as it’s still listed into today’s TV guide (the ABC haven’t updated Grand Designs for the episode that got preempted either). This was made by Britbox for the US market where it aired last month, here they have sold it to the ABC. It was adapted and directed by Hugh Laurie who also plays Dr Nicholson.
