BBC / Stan drama The Tourist has won big at the Monte Carlo TV Festival, taking out Best Series and Best Creation categories.
It also won the Public Prize.
The series starring Jamie Dornan and filmed in South Australia, defeated entries such as The Offer, The Terminal List, Made in Oslo, Trom and Martha Liebermann.
The show, created and written by Harry and Jack Williams, has already been renewed for a second season.
The Golden Nymph Awards recognise a range of international shows annually, with a Prince Rainier III Special Prize going to The Water Guardians from France.

Wow. I thought it was rubbish.
I mostly agree. It started well enough… but then it went off a ledge and headfirst into an abyss of poor writing, confusion and suspension of disbelief pretty damn quickly. I ended up thinking it was a slog to get through.
