Airdate: Time

Highly recommended UK miniseries with Sean Bean and Stephen Graham is getting a free to air broadcast.

Acclaimed Jimmy McGovern-penned prison drama Time is getting a Free to Air broadcast on ABC.

The 3 part series which stars Sean Bean and Stephen Graham picked up a BAFTA miniseries award, beating out It’s a Sin, Landscapers and Stephen.

It screened on BBC First a year ago and has been renewed for a second season, to be set in a female prison.

I’d recommend this one…. a review is here.

Former teacher Mark Cobden is responsible for the death of an innocent man. Tortured by visions of his victim, he welcomes his four-year sentence as penance. Eric McNally is a dedicated prison officer, doing his best to protect those in his charge. But when a dangerous convict threatens to hurt someone Eric loves, he is faced with an impossible choice. Unflinching but ultimately hopeful, Time is a raw study of punishment and penitence.

8:50pm Friday July 29 on ABC.

  1. This sounds interesting and there’s something about Sean Bean that always draws me into his characters, so I will have to give this a go. Thanks for the heads up David.
