Auditions: The Dog House

Wanted: Sydney-based families and individuals seeking a rescue dog.

The Dog House Australia is now casting for Sydney-based families and individuals seeking a rescue dog.

“We take the time to work hand-in-hand with the Animal Welfare League NSW, an established rescue shelter, to match you with the best dog for you or your family. You must live in the Greater Sydney Region, or within a 3 – 4 hour drive of Kemps Creek, in order to apply for this current series,” says a casting notice.

“This is an opportunity for you to tell your story and help us show people how these beautiful animals can be the perfect pet when matched with the right owners.”

Nominator / applicant and nominee must be at least 18 years of age, be an Australian citizen or resident.

NOTE: If you would like to surrender your dog, please email [email protected] and we will facilitate this with the Animal Welfare League NSW.

  1. In a way I am not surprised that the applicants are in a way pre-screened by the production company. Gather it would be more cost effective. But it does take away some of the “magic”. Mind you they can’t do that with shows like Ambulance, Emergency, Police Patrol type programs as they are recorded as they occur and can’t be organised in advance. I assumed the participants were reimbursed for when they visited their homes after adoption.

    1. That’s how it should be just random people turning up genuinely wanting a rescue dog when they go to the counter they are asked if they want to participate or not
