Farewell to Neighbours: Studio fly-through vision

This must-see vision of the Neighbours studio really brings home the magnitude of the end of production.

Captivating “fly-through” vision of the Neighbours studio in Nunawading shot by drone operator Mitch Blunt brings home the magnitude of its loss as a result of the end of production.

“Growing up in Australia in the 90’s, and now working in the Television industry, hearing the news that Neighbours had been cancelled, was a pretty big blow,” he told TV Tonight.

“Though I never had the chance to work on Neighbours as such, I was honoured to recently get the opportunity to shoot some behind the scenes FPV drone shots of the sets at Nunawading studios in Melbourne.

“Thank you Neighbours, not only for the entertainment you provided on-screen, but also for everything you did for the Aussie TV Industry off-screen.”

Final episode marks the end of an era, airs 7:30pm Thursday on 10  / 10 Peach.

  1. Agreed with this. The backlot is actually quite interesting I find. Especially with the additions or the backyards with the house/wall of back of house.

  2. He must’ve done the one for Studio 10 because it’s almost identical, and probably something that could be shown right after the end credits on Thursday night.

  3. God, this video really makes it hit home that it’s over. I wish there was some way this could all be kept together. Not practical, I know, but what a loss of incredible sets and studios.
