The Block tops ratings week

Nine takes out the week, ABC edges ahead of 10.

If Nine bookends its year with bumper Married at First Sight and The Block ratings, then it is on track to repeat its calendar once more.

The Block: Tree Change finished as the #1 show of last week with 984,000 metro viewers, helping Nine to win Sunday – Thursday. But AFL saw Seven come home strong on Friday and Saturday, ultimately finishing close behind its main rival. MKR may not be the juggernaut it once was, but it’s still Seven’s biggest show right now.

ABC edged ahead of 10 for third place.

  1. Well I’m no expert on ratings but this doesn’t bode well for Network 10 ,now 4th on Sunday night ,after MS then TAR I guess it’s Bachelor and who knows after that ,could be 4th at the end of the year.

    1. Hunted has been Ten’s best and only stand out performer (besides trusty old Masterchef). Hope they don’t milk this next year and extend the series length and/or have multiple versions ie Celebrity etc.

      1. There’s always that possibility,I was hoping for The Bridge this year but maybe next year after IACGMOOH ,but could be Paramount Plus for a while.

        1. Wonder why Ten persists with IACGMOOH? It airs during the 2nd half summer non-ratings and finishes upon the ratings starting for the year. If aired later, it would get creamed by MAFS in the same time slot and production costs would not be cheap. It doesn’t really deliver large viewing numbers so my guess is, it’s an alternative to the summer cricket and tennis and a vehicle to promote Ten’s upcoming key programs but the impact is pretty minimal.
