Auditions: MKR 2023

Hunt is on for new home cooks for next year on Seven. But Manu has high expectations.

Casting is underway for a 2023 season of MKR for Seven.

“If you love cooking, entertaining, fun and adventure, then MKR is the place for you. The search is now on for all new teams to take part in the experience of a lifetime,” a casting notice announced.

Team of two must be aged at least 18 years of age and have a pre-existing relationship: friends, relatives, partners, etc

A video submission could also include:

1/ Your names?
2/ What do you love about cooking?
3/ Why are you applying for My Kitchen Rules?
4/ Why should you, as a team, be part of the show?
5/ Describe each other

But you’ll need to be good.

This week Manu Feildel told Confidential, “Without being an a**hole, I think we could’ve had some better cooks. People have got to be more experienced – real foodies.”

No pressure!

  1. This season was great because it was short with no boring challenges it was almost all instant restaurants which is the best part but i did miss the villains I hope the next season is the same

  2. I’ve mentioned it before so I agree with Manu. They’ve got to be more professional or skilled than just people keen on food.

I remember one of the earlier seasons and one guy was constantly cutting his fingers like amateur hour. The casting counts a lot.
