Six years after quitting the Paris police force and abandoning the hunt for a serial killer, Rebecca (Anne Marivin) is back on the job. And as she investigates a spate of brutal murders that all carry the same signature, she becomes convinced the killer has resurfaced. Obsessed with the case, betrayed by her husband, and hampered by both depression and crippling blackouts, she throws herself into work to avoid falling apart. But Rebecca’s attempts to track down the murderer only bring her demons to the surface. When one of the victims turns out to be her husband’s young mistress, Rebecca struggles to piece together the fragments of her erratic memory. As the evidence piles up, she is faced with the terrifying realisation that she herself may be the culprit. Overwhelmed by emotion and by the unravelling relationship with her children, Rebecca is haunted by a traumatic family event she doesn’t remember. Struggling to discern fact from fiction, she tries to hide her spiralling reality from those around her – all while uncovering the truth of the investigation, and her own painful past. Rebecca also stars Benjamin Biolay, Clotilde Courau, and Samir Guesmi.

King Johan: The Last King Of Norway
All eight episodes available to stream. In Norwegian with English subtitles.
King Johan: The Last King Of Norway is a hilarious eight-part political satire that revolves around the family dynamics of the modern Norwegian royal family. King Johan (Atle Antonsen), along with his wife Queen Isabella (Ine F. Jansen), Crown Prince Heinrich (Jonas Strand Gravli), and daughter Ellinor (Chloé-Fleur Kolstad), reside in the Royal Palace where King Johan has proudly maintained centuries-old royal traditions and considers himself to be an excellent king. Packed with raw humour the series circles the royal family’s dynamics, unending youth drama and a tug-of-war between the King and the antagonistic Prime Minister. All starting with a newspaper poll claiming that only 48 percent of Norwegians think that the royals do a good job.

  1. It will be interesting to compare Rebecca with Marcella, and I hope there will be some cultural differences. Marcella was a bit too neurotically intense in places.
