As late as last night 10 promos were teasing “New NCIS” on Saturday night as part of its refreshed crime drama night.
However the new episode premiered last night.
For some time now 10 has scheduled:
Saturday Oct 22
7:30pm Blue Bloods new
8:30pm CSI: Vegas new
9:30pm NCIS rpt
I’ve sought to clarify the mess for viewers but it surely doesn’t help when promos continue to mislead!

Just saw a promo for Sat night, they now have “New Season NCIS”, which is accurate.
If cheeky.
It’s only a repeat if you’ve seen it before.
Ten has often “encored” NCIS, The Cheap Seat and NCIS: Hawai’i, listing them as TBA on Bold, or Shake for later on the week then having them pop up in EPG. The idea is keep people watching the first airing, or using 10 play as much as possible, rather than recording the repeat airing. They are just publicising that. It should say “New Series Catch-up or Encore” though.
It’s Channel 10’s new spin.
With only 143,000 of a 15 million catchment from the 5 cities on Tuesday, that amounts to 1% of the population.
So for 99% it will be new.
Goes together with their encores – dictionary definition: “as called for by the audience”.
Yeah ….
My guess is Saturday is one of their Encore presentations – not sure if this is an ongoing thing (new episode on Tues, encore on Sat) or just because they wanted an encore screening of the crossover episode the day before the corresponding NCIS Hawai’i episode showing on Sunday. Or perhaps they’re trying to see which night rates better. Either way the marketing is confusing. It was also sad to no longer see Gibbs in the opening credits.
Gave Ten away yers ago, only watch Law and Order SVU (which I always record) but even then they aren’t consistent with the current series. They’ve put a previous series on the same time slot as the new series was supposed to be or hold it over. One reason I believe is they have a break in America when screening it there, who knows, go figure, good luck with that, is my go to on that score with Ten.
Too funny and sadly not a surprise for this sad sad network…cmon paramount CBS you need to fix this station with all its woes
Even during the new NCIS last night there was a promo for Saturday night. Checked the EPG and it showed S20.E1 for Saturday, the same one that was on last night.
