7News Spotlight: Oct 9

Guest reporter Larry Emdur, who has quite a property portfolio, tackles the real estate market.

7News Spotlight has its final episode of the series this Sunday with guest reporter Larry Emdur (for reals) sharing his property secrets and how to survive the latest market moves.

Lazza, it has to be said, as accrued quite the portfolio over the decades -maybe he should host Location, Location, Location for 10?

This episode includes D’Leanne Lewis from Luxe Listings Australia and Cherie Barber from Space Invaders.

There’s also a further story on the husband of Melissa Caddick.

When the Reserve Bank lifted interest rates again this week – for the sixth time in as many months – the mortgage pain could be felt around Australia.

With most already feeling the cost of living crunch, it seemed those not yet on the real estate ladder were even further away from realising the great property ownership dream.

So, what’s the secret to getting a foot in the door and when should you make your move?

For guest reporter Larry Emdur, it took just $500 and a whole lot of luck to snag his first investment unit. He has since turned property into a lifelong passion, one he shares on 7NEWS Spotlight, 8.50pm this Sunday on Channel 7 and 7plus

The star of The Morning Show and The Chase Australia takes viewers inside his latest property project, which he hopes to take from renovation hell on the riverfront to his family’s forever home.

Using his own “little black book” connections, he gathers advice from Australia’s leading flipper, Cherie Barber; his own real estate agent turned reality star, D’Leanne Lewis from Luxe Listings Australia; and consumer property advisor, Robert Klaric, who all share their insider tips about how best to respond to this “boom or bust” market.

While experts predict prices could continue to fall, seasoned investors and family flippers see opportunity where others may be scared away.

Join Larry for this must-watch real estate master class that could teach you the tricks to winning your way to a property fortune.

8:50pm Sunday on Seven.

  1. All I see here is real greed. Greedy people who will make money at other people’s expense too! Particularly these House Flippers. We had some living next door to us, and they just built what they liked, even without regard for their neighbours around them. We lost privacy when they added windows that looked straight into our back yard and what did they care? They just move on like Gypsies, which is all they really are.
Come on, surely there is more to life than just lining your pockets!

  2. Really Seven, promoting itself under the guise of helping all those people struggling to put a roof over their heads, make higher mortgage payment, people not able to find a descent rental, families sleeping in cars what slap in the face and make them feel worse. Really digging deep into the barrel of despair there. We get it every night as it is on the news. But kudos to those they are picking sure know the right platform to promote oneself. Will be interesting to see if they let the viewers see the experts cribs.
