Dami Im “putting my hand up” for Eurovision

2016 Eurovision runner-up Dami Im has again expressed interest in a return to the song contest, following news that SBS will not be staging Australia Decides next year.

On social media, she stated “Putting my hand up for another shot if this is the case.”

This reiterates a statement made at her last appearance as a guest at Australia Decides in 2020, with a desire to return and represent Australia. Dami is still popular with the fandom, and set to perform at Barcelona Eurovision Party in Spain in February.

Taiwanese-Australian Jaguar Jonze also took to social media to express her interest, having competed at Australia Decides in 2020 and 2022.

SBS will select Australia’s representative internally after confirming the difficult decision not to restage Australia Decides in 2023.
