Before he ran a global media company on Succession with his offspring competing to take the reins, Brian Cox starred in the Aussie crime drama The Straits.
Running a crime organisations from Cairns, he featured as Harry Montebello, who wanted his three sons to compete for the right to replace him as head of the family.
When he pit them against each other it outraged his wife Kitty (Rena Owen).
The cast also featured Aaron Fa’Aoso -who conceived the story with playwright Louis Nowra- Jimi Bani, Firass Dirani, and Suzannah Bayes-Morton.
10 episodes screened on ABC in 2012.

I remember watching this back in 2012. A great hidden gem of a show.
Brian Cox was great in this, and so were the supporting cast. I wish a second season was made too.
It was a great TV series. Wish they come back for another season.
