Former Nine News presenter wins NSW Libs preselection in Vaucluse.

Former Nine News presenter Kellie Sloane is in a race for state politics.

“Some news … honoured to have been preselected by the Liberal Party as a candidate for Vaucluse – following in the footsteps of the wonderful Gabrielle Upton” she announced on Twitter.

Sloane (pictured right) departed Nine in 2010 after 13 years with the network having fronted Money, Today, Nine Morning News, Nine News and was later a regular on Seven’s The Morning Show, The Daily Edition, Sunrise and Weekend Sunrise.

She has recently been Chief Executive Officer of health education body Life Education Australia and previously ran in the seat of Willoughby after it was vacated by Gladys Berejiklian in October last year.
