2022 AACTA Audience Choice Awards: finalists

Eight categories in the AACTA Awards have been voted by the public.

The Australian Academy has revealed the six finalists for categories in the 2022 AACTA Audience Choice Awards.

The Audience Choice Awards allows the viewing public the opportunity to decide for their favourite actors, films, TV shows and digital creators from the past year in voting via news.com.au.

The winners will be announced at this Wednesday 7 December in addition to the peer-voted awards.

AFI AACTA CEO Damian Trewhella said: “I wish to extend my congratulations to the 2022 AACTA Audience Choice Award nominees. To be selected by the Australian public as the best in your field shows the influence and impact that you have on your viewers.”

Amanda Laing, Chief Content and Commercial Officer for the Foxtel Group said: “It’s wonderful that Australian fans have the opportunity to support their favourite shows, films and on-screen talent through the AACTA Audience Choice Awards. Wednesday’s AACTA Awards will be broadcast on 10, at 7.30pm, and will be replayed on FOX Docos, Saturday, December 10 at 7:30pm. The broadcast will also be available to stream on demand via Foxtel, Binge and AACTA TV.

  1. Heartbreak High did well in the Audience Choice- up against some big names in the acting categories.

    Finally some recognition to100% Footy, up.for Best Sports Program. Its a underrated NRL show on Nine, and deserves.more viewers.
