  1. All the Mystery Road series have never disappointed neither did Savage River, The Twelve was one of Foxtel’s few good dramas, and from one old rocker loved Elvis. Congrats 👏

  2. I really enjoyed The Twelve. Awesome cast and the story kept me guessing until the end. I am very happy Brooke Satchwell won as she is such a fine actress. She stole every scene she was in.

  3. The tribute to Neighbours rivalled the Logies for Worst Tribute. Fortunate that Amazon rescued the show, otherwise, this would have been really embarrassing. They could have just pulled the entire thing.

Natalie Imbruglia’s performance didn’t make much sense in my view, but it seemed to entertain people, despite her questionable vocals.

Great to see Heartbreak High pick up quite a few. And congrats to Elvis, Austin, Baz and CM on their wins too.

    1. Agree on the Neighbours “tribute”, I recorded the awards just to see that segment, and it was embarrassing. They used basically the same sizzle reel content shown on the Logie Awards, with Guy Pierce as commentator for it, and his jokes all fell flat and were diminishing the quality of the show. Why wasn’t a recent cast member like Jackie Woodburne offered the chance to do this with the grace and poise we expect from her. Then the performance by Natalie Imbruglia was bizarre, an almost 30-year-old song by a former 90’s cast member.

  4. So happy for it, but only discovered it this morning when i checked the full list on their website that Brooke Satchwell won an AACTA for The Twelve. I had been advocating for that here, I thought she was so great. Thrilled for her to have the prize.

  5. Overall, a good show, and although heavy edited like always, it seemed better on 10 than it did on Seven when many many awards were cut. Some deserving winners (lime Broome Satchwell from The Twelve) and some movie categories too.

I did see a TVTonight logo in the closing credits. Well done 🙂

  6. A rapidly-edited broadcast was an understatement. A terrible Elvis medley by Rikki-Lee then an unfunny Cecelia Paquola & an embarrassing Rebel Wilson.
Plus the order of the awards is confusing with major awards like Best Actor Actress & Director mixed in with other awards instead of building to them at the end of the night

    1. Agree with all your comments. I thought the editing was a shocker. Jump cuts, cuts to black; no audio fades whatsoever when trimming. And the running order was even more confusing than usual. Amanda was host, yet Russell Crowe kept popping up. Claudia Karvan actually opened with the intro. I despair of the way in which these prestigious prizes are regurgitated for the viewer. They’re trying to make everyone happy, but frankly I don’t think it makes anybody happy. A dog’s breakfast. I’ve been watching since 1978 and been a member since 1988 so have a long history and memory and commitment to it and to the process.

      1. For a show highlighting excellence in Cinema and TV, the broadcast was a shocked. So amateur.
Audience clapping was distorted. Shots of the audience not clapping, with audio clapping.
First year students at the AFTRS could do better. It was just embarrassing.

  7. I have been checking out red carpet outfits….male and female….all really nice….nothing to OTT or over exposed body parts….very nice in general from what I have seen…..Well done everyone!
