It takes all sorts, and Hard Quiz is Australia’s biggest bag of liquorice.
Vying for Tom Gleeson’s Big Brass Mug are experts in typefaces, the Tasmanian devil, war criminal Breaker Morant and Aussie songbird Tina Arena.

Finally something decent to watch on FTA TV
I’m a contestant on this upcoming season of Hard Quiz. I can tell you categorically that there’s no scripting. We don’t even see / meet Tom before he walks in to start the show. It was a terrific experience.
Well, there is some scripting of Tom’s gags. A mix of scripted and off the cuff from him.
Of course Tom prepares jokes based on our specialty topics, but he also riffs as the episode unfolds.

This show makes my day. I love the interaction with all the contestants.
Even though the interactions with the contestants has felt waaay too scripted for the last few seasons, it’s good to see Gleeson’s still got a reliable fallback – going from the ads, Taskmaster AU’s going to suck… Hard!
