Danny was just a baby when his mother was killed. For years, Danny’s father kept him locked away in their home, safe from the ‘monsters’ outside; occupied by listening to records and watching old movies with happy endings. But shortly after his eighteenth birthday, Danny is forced to venture outside and discover a world he never knew existed. What follows is a coming-of-age story like no other.

By coincidence, 7 played ‘Blast From The Past’ (1999) as their midday film here in Perth today, so not such an original idea…you’ll also never see anything quite as disturbingly original but ultimately uplifting as the Oz 1993 ‘Bad Boy Bubby’-has been on TV here but not any time recently.
