Boxer rumoured for 10 jungle

Harry Garside is rumoured for 10 series instead of headlining a Foxtel Main Event fight.

Boxer Harry Garside is rumoured to be joining the upcoming cast of 10’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

News corp reports the 25 year old has opted to join the upcoming series to film in Africa, instead of headlining a Foxtel Main Event fight.

But trainer Johnny Lewisy was critical of the apparent move, sying he can’t keep knocking back fights. There are no shortcuts in the fight game.

“I’m actually really disappointed but I genuinely wish him well although I’m not sure that he’s choosing the right path.”

Garside has won gold at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and claimed bronze at the Tokyo Olympics but hasn’t fought since May last year when he suffered a hand injury. He has also been on a mission to break down gender stereotypes in the sport, being an advocate for the LGBTQI+ community, women’s rights, youth support, wear a skirt in a fashion show and proudly painting his nails.

10 traditionally keeps most of its cast under wraps until shooting begind in South Africa.

The next season, with hosts Julia Morris and Chris Brown, is expected to premiere Live in April.

  1. I was lucky enough to meet him when he shared my local gym in his preparation for the Olympics with other athletes. He was always friendly, and we had a couple of conversations. For that simple reason, I know he is a decent human being.
