If people are too silly or stupid and can’t determine, or realise what a good will gesture or a show of kindness towards a man or a woman is without being politically correct and jumping on social media to condemn, then as far as I’m concerned the world is in big trouble. To the naysayers I say give it a rest will you. It’s bad enough when someone accidentally says a term of endearment (love, sweetie, my dear etc) and that offends. How “precious” some have become. She gets my 👍

Yep, a nice story that makes us smile and we have a laugh about it, but as some of the Twitter comments have (righty) pointed out, can you imagine the response if the roles were reversed and a male came out of the blue & kissed a female reporter in the same way?? All the commentary would be about how unacceptable it was, what a disgrace, it’s sexual assault, a female reporter simply doing her job shouldn’t have to deal with that.. etc etc. It’s funny the double standards we tolerate in society.

   1. My feelings around “if things were reversed” arguments are based on the premise that all things are equal, but men accosting women has historically come with subtext you have alluded to.
