Days of our Lives has been renewed for two more seasons, which will take the US soap to an incredible 60th season.
Days of our Lives is currently the second-longest show in US history, only eclipsed by General Hospital, already in its 60th season.
The news comes after media ran reports that the axe was falling on the show in 2019, based speculatively on actor contracts. But it was renewed for 57th and 58th seasons and moved to NBC streaming platform, Peacock in September.
The series, which aired its 14,000th episode in 2020, also spawned spin-off Days Of Our Lives: Beyond Salem which screened 5 episodes in both 2021 and 2022.
Days of our Lives screens in Australia on FOX One and 9GEM.

Absolutely thrilled that Days will make it to their 60th anniversary. It’s been so close to not getting there over the years!
The last time I watched this show there was a character living in a coffin. How she went to the toilet and who fed her is a riddle to me. The only soap I thought was any good was Young And The Restless.
She wasn’t living in a coffin, she was buried alive by her mother and law
