The Block a working site

Minor spoiler. Bobcats, skips and hoardings surround the next Block site in Hampton East.

Minor spoiler.

There are bobcats and skips on site at The Block but Nine is yet to confirm whether filming has commenced in Charming Street Hampton East.

Hoardings conceal the site, previously home to 5 classic brick homes.

Micjoy Pty. Ltd. reportedly bought 5 houses for $14.3m with blocks ranging from 575sq m to 703sq m.

Charming Street is set back from the major intersection of Nepean Highway and South Road, Hampton East, not far from Bronte Court which featured in 2021.

A second storey looks to already being added to one property, but it isn’t clear if these are pre-production preparations with filming expected in mid-March.

The series screens as always in the second half of the year on Nine.

  1. Since when do the networks listen to the audience, the big people who make the decisions are insular and in my opinion not in touch with the real world

  2. used to be a big blockhead, but dunno if i’m watching this year.everything they do…the styling, the quality of the work, the judging, their work effort, the plans…nothing seems to matter if on auction day someone wants to rewards 1 team with a $mill profit and everyone else[arguably the better contestants]get basically squat.last year it wasn’t but most years,it’s the whim of 1 guy…danny wallis…that determines the outcome.but i have to admit 1 thing…no show incorporates their ads and sponsors within the show better than the block…and i have a grudging admiration for that

  3. With an average purchase price approaching $3M, it looks like The Block hasn’t listened to feedback about their houses only being geared to the very upper end of the property market.
