Angela Bishop goes behind the scenes of Neighbours restart

Stefan Dennis cuts the ribbon at Lassiters, and dedicated the restart of soap to the late Brian Walsh.

Studio 10‘s own Angela Bishop went behind the scenes of Neighbours as the soap restarted today in Melbourne.

Stefan Dennis, who cut the ribbon at the Lassiters set, also dedicated the gesture to the late Brian Walsh, a show publicist whose campaigning helped save the show from the axe in the 1980s.

“We wouldn’t be standing here today if it hadn’t been for the efforts of Brian and Judy in 1986,” he said.

Cast were revealing nothing about what the new scripts entail.

Approximately 450 cast, crew and associated businesses have resumed work with confirmed cast members Stefan Dennis, Jackie Woodburne, Alan Fletcher, Ryan Moloney, Annie Jones, Rebekah Elmaloglou, Georgie Stone, Tim Kano and Lucinda Cowden.

Neighbours will return to Network 10,  plus Prime Video in Australia and New Zealand seven days later.

  1. Can’t wait to see what changes have happened to the houses but more importantly where 10 are going to schedule it.
I think 6pm. Cut with 30 mins cut off the news.

    1. The clue is in the last paragraph Neighbours will return to “Network 10” so that could be Channel 10 or Bold or Peach ,I for one dont think they’ll change the news or their pet Project for anything , so I’ll guess it’ll be on Peach.

  2. Thanks so much for posting this, David! I didn’t see it this morning. I can’t wait until it’s back on our screens again. Everyone looks fabulous! So glad Mel is back! I started watching this show with my Mum years ago. She would never miss it. I’m so glad it’s back!!!
