Debra Lawrance leaves 10 jungle

10 camp's own 'mother hen' who showed many more sides to her personality, has departed.

Veteran actress Debra Lawrance was voted out of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here last night.

The former Home & Away and Please Like Me star, seen by most in camp as a caring mother hen figure, also kept cast entertained with insights into the skills of acting. Deb impressed with her voice and physical skills, even offering group classes.

But she also faced heights, tucker trials and more.

In addition to openly discussing the grief of miscarriage with and stories about working with actors Heath Ledger, Melissa George, Deb was also vocal about the challenges of work as an older actor.

But the 10 series offered legitimate entertainment work, she maintained, and part of the reason she signed up.

“The challenge and the charity aspect are both important. As is flying the flag for other women out there in their mid-sixties.”

10’s series concludes on Sunday night with more cast to depart across this week.

  1. What a talent she is, I loved her various accents she did for her camp mates they just rolled off her tongue….that’s real versatility and skill. She proved age is no barrier if you want to do something you just get in and give it a go because you never know until you try.

  2. Debra was such a highlight of this season for me. It was wonderful being able to get to see her beyond her acting work. She’s such a funny, beautiful person and so positive and encouraging to the rest of the group.
