Bumped: The Bridge

It's understandable that 10 has had to move a late programming addition, but here are the plans nonetheless.

10 has moved quickly on poor numbers for The Bridge last night, sending it to 9:30pm tonight and tomorrow.

It screens in double episodes both nights, and concludes on Thursday.

In its place is a Dog House repeat, followed by a Law & Order: SVU repeat.

In 10’s defence the move was entirely as a result of pulling MasterChef Australia from schedules following the sudden death of Jock Zonfrillo.

The Bridge had negligible promotion (outside of its planned Thursday screening) and has already played out on Paramount+ where it was well received.

10 is yet to outline its primetime plans for next week.

  1. Having caught the first 2 eps and not noticing your ‘bumped’ article, I hadn’t adjusted the PVR. The delightful outcome is I discovered 10Play has been added to the LG Smart TV mode. Also found 10 was repeating the previous evening’s episode following Dr Phil.
So pleased to discover the one who whinged had been sent packing,
Will catch up with the final episode later this afternoon, although Pertinax has correctly summed up the show.

  2. The Bridge was scheduled for last night two weeks ago. With Masterchef being pulled they had to try something and put it on Mon to Thurs. As it mostly consists of depressed people sitting around a campfire bitching it’s not surprising it has done poorly. Now Ten needs a plan C.

  3. I watched The Bridge on Paramount when it first came out. After a very slow first episode, I quite enjoyed, especially seeing how it ended.

  4. Watched the first 10 minutes of the show on Monday, and boy, was that the most boring start to a reality show. Lost me… I was keen to see how the game works but instead we got long drawn out intros of contestants. Show needed to be edited better.

    1. With Masterchef now set to premiere on Sunday, maybe Ten could try The Cheap Seats in The Project’s timeslot for one week and see how it goes?
