Price revealed on final Block home sale

The price tag for the final home sold privately from The Block has been disclosed.

Dylan and Jenny’s house traded in February, but it took until now for public records to reveal the price.

The Age reports it sold for $3.9 million $180,000 less than its original $4.08 million reserve price and $175,000 less than the highest auction offer of $4,075,000.

The new owners had not seen the show but saw on Facebook that the house was still available and got in touch.

Last year’s finale had mixed results when winners Omar and Oz made $1,586,666.66 in profit above the reserve, the biggest result in the show’s history.

But Tom and Sarah-Jane, made just over $20,000 in prize money, while three houses were passed in.

Rachel and Ryan sold after negotiations for about $169,000 over the reserve, while Ankur and Sharon sold the next week for a $170,000 profit.

Despite the competition element of the series, it isn’t clear where the couple finished in series rankings.

A Nine spokesperson in February said, “We can confirm House 4 has sold on The Block: Tree Change in Gisborne, in what is a positive outcome for everyone.”
