Season 3 of Irish thriller Smother is coming to ABC later this month.

This debuted internationally in February.

After the turmoil and Finn’s subsequent injuries, Grace returns to London. Finn is furious about his ordeal despite the Ahern family’s honesty. Will the entire truth about Denis’ death finally be revealed.

The Ahern clan gather for Val’s (Dervla Kirwan) rather speedy remarriage to the mysterious Paul. Everyone is surprised by the arrival of Elaine, who has been let out of prison early and invited by Jacob. When she reveals that Grace had visited her in prison, Jenny (Niamh Walsh) and Anna are shocked and set out to discover why.
Also stars Gemma-Leah Devereux and Conor Mullen.

8:30pm Friday May 26 on ABC.

  1. Thanks for the information, I’ve enjoyed this from the beginning, what a Matriarch Val has turned out to be. I believe this is the final season and if that’s true then hopefully it does wraps it up with the entire truth about Denis’s demise.

    1. We found out what happened at the end of S1, but it was covered up, as was Finn’s shooting in S2. Now the cover-ups start to fall apart as they try to get on with their lives, as it’s a melodrama full of twists.

      1. Yes I know what happens to Denis, this show has been full of red herrings like Finn turning up, Elaine’s drink being spiked and being caught for causing the accident, but Val has more up her sleeve and more tragedy before hopefully she gets her comeuppance….hence the “entire” truth.

        1. What Val has done has been the focus of the show but amounts to nothing more than obstruction.
          Elaine killed Dennis, Anna spiked Elaine’s drink and one of the boys shot Finn, her husband and brother in-law was involved in the fraud, and her daughter stole money from the medical practice. Everyone should be arrested but I doubt that will happen.
