Maroons meet Blues in Brisbane on Wednesday, screening on Nine.

Nine broadcasts State of Origin II on Wednesday, Live from Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane.

James Bracey hosts with Andrew Johns, Cameron Smith, Johnathan Thurston, Phil Gould, Darren Lockyer, Paul Vautin and Paul Gallen analysing play.

Danika Mason delivers all the breaking news in the lead-up to kick-off, along with Allana Ferguson, and Mathew Thompson in the commentary box, joined by Andrew Johns and Cameron Smith.

Nine will cross live during the broadcast to both Origin coaches, Billy Slater and Brad Fittler. Viewers will get unprecedented access to exclusive content from extra cameras on the team buses, in dressing rooms and private team meetings in camp.

After drawing first blood in Adelaide, Billy Slater’s Maroons are primed to clinch the series 2-0 in front of a raucous home crowd.

With the odds stacked against New South Wales, coach Brad Fittler knows his Blues are in the fight of their lives to square the series.

Led by James Tedesco, the Blues feature speedster Josh Addo-Carr, firebrand forward Liam Martin and new halfback Mitchell Moses, but face a daunting task containing Maroons magicians Cameron Munster, Reece Walsh and Ben Hunt, their hero in 2022.

  1. As I looked at the Suncorp Stadium website, the KO will begin at 8:05pm, though 9 doesn’t show the kickoff time. But then, 9 would start the game 6 mins later than advertised time. Its very disgraceful for 9 for SOO to kick off so late during the night. Last year when SOO game was played in Perth Stadium, the game kicked off at 7:55pm (AEST). Ironically, it was played on a Sunday night. But having the game starting at 8:05pm is too inconvenient for fans. They should have the game start at 8pm. I wanted the NRL to have the State of Origin kick off at 8pm (back in the 2011 days), however they refused. Sadly, Ch9 wanted to stick to the 8:10pm KO for the Origin. We had to put up with the 1-hour pre-game talk for years to come. And to make matters worse, 9 showed gambling ads during pregame telecast.
