"How would you like to be stranded on a tropical desert island with your perfect match?"

Casting is now underway for Seven’s next new reality show Stranded on Honeymoon Island.

“Are you single and looking for love? How would you like to be stranded on a tropical desert island with your perfect match? This is your chance to find true love through the most incredible experience of a lifetime,” a casting notice asks.

Based on a Belgian format, the series is produced by Endemol Shine Australia. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older on 1 June 2023, an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

Seven’s Chief Content Officer, Entertainment Programming, Angus Ross, said: “There is good reason broadcasters around the world have fallen in love with Stranded on Honeymoon Island and Seven is thrilled to bring this hot new series to Australian audiences.

“Snowman Productions and Endemol Shine Australia’s track record of success speaks for itself, and now they’re taking the reality dating genre to a whole new addictive level, blending fledgling love with the adventure of a lifetime. We have no doubt viewers will lap up every minute of this bold and exciting new format.”

ESA Chief Executive Officer, Peter Newman, said: “Stranded On Honeymoon Island is a bold, fresh and filmic new relationship experiment with a dramatic and instantly compelling opening. The inspired fusion of the most powerful elements of the survival and relationship genres has created a raw, honest and utterly absorbing take on the search for love that Australian audiences will find completely irresistible!”

It’s not clear where the show will film or when it will air in 2024.

  1. I wouldn’t call the last few ESA shows a track record of success, more expensive flops with the same boring dramatic music across every series! Hard pass sorry.

    LOL actually made me laugh

  3. The show where MAFS meets Survivor! I fear that is will be another flop for the Seven Network, which is vastly quickly becoming the 10 Network…

    1. Exactly. None of their recent flops have come as a surprise to anyone outside Channel 7. If it looks like a rip off and sounds like a rip off viewers will treat it accordingly.

  4. So MAFS on an island. Has 7 not learnt that you can’t just change the format a tiny amount and get away with it? Why not give them balloons and wristband as well? Perhaps they can climb a mountain where they’ll come across for red chairs with judges waiting to him then sing before getting them to cook something.

  5. Another show with the word Island good luck with that. Love the spin Australian audiences will find it completely irresistible. What evidence do they have for that statement. Another bomb comming up don’t they see viewers aren’t interested in this stuff any more.
