Jock Zonfrillo’s family overwhelmed by messages of support

Lauren Fried sends a message to MasterChef fans for their support.

Jock Zonfillo’s wife Lauren Fried has taken to social media to thank supporters for their many messages of support and to pose a question to them.

“It’s been a month since we lost Jock, and I put a line in the sand thinking that at the one month mark, I would turn some sort of a corner. Obviously that hasn’t happened,” she said.

“There’s no time that I could allocate to say thank you to everyone. I just am overwhelmed by the messages that came in from people all over the world who knew him or didn’t know him.

“I really wish that he knew how loved he was, that he knew the impact he had on so many people.”

She said she and Jock “worked really hard on his social media” and needed to make a decision whether to continue it.

Jock had been working on various projects including “behind the scenes photos and interviews from MasterChef, books, a fashion range, he’s got spirits ageing in a distillery in Tasmania,” she said.

“He’s got a TV show he filmed in Italy last year with the family. And so, as I kind of am pondering what is appropriate or not.

“If I don’t really know what’s right I’ll put a poll up on here and you guys can tell me yes or no. And somehow we’ll work out if there’s a path forward here or if we don’t do anything at all.”

The post received plenty of supportive and sympathetic comments with fans saying they would be happy to see whatver Lauren felt comfortable sharing.

  1. I think continuing these projects would be cathartic for this young woman and the many of us who miss him……as long as she feels up to it….I feel it would be a shame to just shut everything down….💛
