Million Dollar Island: June 26, 27.

45 remaining contestants are chasing their share of $1 million prize pot next week on Seven.

There are 45 remaining contestants on Million Dollar Island, and next week camp rivalry threatens to boil over.

Alliances and friendships have been formed with contestants battling each other and starvation for the life-changing $1 million prize pot on Million Dollar Island. But in this game of survival, the enemy is closer than they think, with betrayal and deceit only a challenge away.

Having won the wheel spin advantage, forty-two-year-old furniture removalist Jake will play for the biggest prize to date. But when it comes to nominations, will he choose money over friendship?

And D-Day has arrived for players with a single wristband. Having played their game from the shadows until now, they’re pushed into the limelight. Will they fly or fall?

On Million Dollar Island, alliances mean everything, and friendships are worth a fortune. Ultimately, a nail-biting final challenge will help determine who walks away with their share of the $1 million prize.

Million Dollar Island is hosted by Ant Middleton and produced by award-winning Eureka Productions.

Monday – Tuesday, 7.30pm on Seven.

  1. I am enjoying it, but one thing that kills it is the run time. Shorter episodes more nights of the weeks would be better. It’s a big commitment to take 90 minutes out of someones evening.

    1. I think 90 minutes for a shorter run show is ok (I think it’s only 12 eps)

However, the episodes drag – there’s 3 or 4 segments of an episode devoted solely to challenges and all the motions (dull questions form Ant, everyone putting the bracelet in the urn, ect) and for “the biggest social experiment” with 100 people, I’d prefer to see more socialising with the players – who’s strategising with the nominator about the challenge nominations, who’s trying to get someone to quit. Hell maybe it’s just how they are coping in the conditions. That’s a minor critique I have with Aus Survivor … but that critique is exaggeratedly present on MDI.

  2. So the Wednesday episodes already dropped, can’t be long until its off to 7 Flix / 7 Mate.

The format has a few issues, and with so many people quitting you can’t help but think a lot of the cast was actually recruits / actors to fill out the 100 people.

Another flop from 7, not a good year from them. Thank goodness for their multi channels propping up their share.
