  1. I cancelled Stan last month. It’s tough because Netflix and Stan have had massive price increases. Disney stole Fox and then there is stuff on Amazon Prime. I keep two services. Prime gives me media and free shipping. Electricity is going up 27% in a week….

  2. Lionsgate is a fascinating partnership for Stan, who do keep surprising with their business enterprise in a competitive streaming market. ‘Gray’ looks interesting especially with Patricia Clarkson in the lead role, I can’t imagine there would be too many gunfights, head injuries or high speed car chases. A sequel to Spartacus has been a while in coming probably because the original series would be hard to better, I’m sure some actors are already pumping iron in the gym. Out of interest I checked whether a Gladiatrix could be included in the show but it would not be historically correct, as they rarely appeared in Roman histories and there is no evidence women ever trained at Gladiator schools. No doubt this historic inconvenience wont discourage studio heads if a requirement for a Gladiatrix is being written into the screenplay. For Stan the opportunity is there to increase their local drama content.
