Auditions: Gladiators

Campy 1990s action game show is set for another revival.

A Gladiators reboot is set to film in Sydney over the coming weeks, produced by Warner Bros. TV Australia.

Production will take place from July / August to October.

The campy original ran for 3 seasons from 1995 – 1996 on Seven hosted by Kimberley Joseph, Mike Hammond and Aaron Pedersen.

A short-lived 2008 reboot hosted by Tom Williams and Zoe Naylor included Tatiana Grigorieva, Tiffiny Hall and Anthony Koutoufides. Awkwardly for the family-friendly show, one of the contestants during in its run had appeared on a gay porn site (oops). The reboot launched with an impressive 1.84m viewers but fell to 1.1m.

BBC has also revived the format for 2023 (pictured) to be hosted by Bradley Walsh and son Barney.

Seven sources told TV Blackbox they were not commissioning the revival while a 10 spokesperson denied any knowledge of the project.

Applicants must be aged 18 or over. You can apply here.
