RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under S3: guests

Adam Lambert, Rachel Hunter, Keiynan Lonsdale, Josh Cavallo amongst S3 guests.

Stan has confirmed its special guests for the upcoming season of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under.

Set to feature are singer Adam Lambert, supermodel Rachel Hunter, actor Keiynan Lonsdale, footballer Josh Cavallo, former Miss Universe Australia Maria Thattil, Amyl and the Sniffers front-woman Amy Taylor, and US singer Deva Mahal among others.

They join host RuPaul and judges Michelle Visage and Rhys Nicholson.

Rachel Hunter said: “Always divine to be part of such an inspiring, electric show.”

Maria Thattil said: “As a long-time fan of RuPaul, the show and the art of drag, I am so excited to join as a judge on Season 3. I’m someone who loves to challenge the status quo and right now, that’s being the first openly queer Miss Universe Australia on the most glittery panel the world has seen. Now more than ever the world needs more drag magic and I can’t wait for everyone to see the queen’s birth joy, love and enchant the world with their talent.”

Keiynan Lonsdale said: “Stoked to get to hop on this wild ride again, and just the way I like it, down under. Hope everyone’s as gagged as me.”

Josh Cavallo said: “I’m a big fan of the show and was thrilled to be a guest on the new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under. As the only openly gay male professional footballer currently playing top-flight football in the world, I’m a big fan of embracing your true self, but for many in sport and the queer community this is really difficult to do. This is why RuPaul’s Drag Race is so important, because it inspires queer people to be their authentic self, and allows drag to become more accepted and celebrated like it should be.”

The Stan Original Series RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under is a World of Wonder production in collaboration with Warner Bros. International Production New Zealand for Stan and TVNZ. Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell and RuPaul Charles serve as Executive Producers. Passion Distribution will distribute the series globally in line with Passion Distribution and WOW’s distribution strategy.

The series recently received two coveted 63rd TV Week Logie Awards nominations for its second season – Most Outstanding Entertainment Program and the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent, for Season 2 runner-up Kween Kong. This is the first time a drag performer has ever been nominated for a TV Week Logie award.

Friday July 28 on Stan.
