Just 2 of the 20 participants in Hunted made it to the extraction point without being caught in 10’s finale last night.

Former radio DJ turned Marriage Celebrant, Jimi, 31, and dancer, Holly, 23, raced to an awaiting helicopter at the MCG to share in the $100,000 prize.

Another 2 , father & son Tharren & Jordan, were nabbed outside the MCG by ground hunters as they raced desperately for an entry point into the stadium.  But they watched as Jimi and Holly claimed victory.

For Jimi and Holly, who had both lost their teammates Ed & Josh respectively, it was an emotional finish with both in tears as they scraped into the awaiting chopper. While Jimi’s dash was executed as ground hunters were distracted by Tharren & Jordan, hunters were in hot pursuit of Holly in the last few metres onto the MCG turf.

The remaining other 16 participants were caught before the final episode leaving investigators to crow about overcoming enormous odds.

While 10’s second season has not matched ratings of the first season it has faced stiff competition including FIFA Women’s World Cup, Ashes Series, Logie Awards and a John Farnham special.

  1. I thought Holly’s partner (husband?) Josh was exceptionally clever when they separated. He diverted and delayed the hunters so well, and gave Holly a good headstart. Then she was smart, making friends with the gardening group.

  3. What I found amusing was the hunters never seemed to hit bad traffic, roadworks or peak hour. They always seemed to get where they want without hassle.

  4. Happy that Holly was one of the winners. Congratulations to both Holly & Jimi. Was worried when Holly ran into a dead end. Shouted at screen jump the fence Holly. Thank goodness she found the gate to get to the helicopter. Hopefully there will be a 3rd series next year.

  5. Did anybody feel it was a bit unfair having MCG as extraction as limited entry points? It felt to me like not all gates were open but confined to the main entry, which gave ground hunters an advantage.

    1. Yes I did feel it was unfair, but i guess it worked both ways in that the Hunters didn’t know which gates were opened either. Holly and Jimi did use different gates. Poor Tharren & Jordan running towards the hunters and not an open gate 🙁

    2. I was surprised they used the MCG after using a beach last year but as someone who frequently goes to the MCG I would have run straight to gate 3 only because it’s the gate you enter to go to the sports museum and it would have been open

    3. I was disappointed with the choice of location with what appeared to be only one gate open. That made it too easy for the Hunters to cover. I was also disappointed they went with a chopper once again. That gave the Hunters a big advantage in itself as they knew in advance where the chopper was going to land. Once they are in the chopper the game seems to be up for the Hunters, so why can’t the extraction vehicle be a car, bus, boat etc? At least it would keep the Hunters a little more honest in having to track the contestants and not the extraction vehicle.

      1. Totally agree. The red helicopter was a dead giveaway to the hunters. Yes maybe next year they could use something else rather than the helicopter.

      2. A good twist if there’s a season 3 would be if there were multiple extraction points and methods the fugitives could select from. Each extraction point would be in different locations.

The seemingly fake conversation of them trying to work out where the extraction point was seemed a little off, Thinking the extraction point would be a well known Melbourne location seemed off since they didn’t have a similar conversation occurred in S1 when the extraction point was a regional beach.

  6. So disappointed for Tharren and Jordan because I wanted them to win, but very happy that Jimi and Holly won. Congratulations to them. And I can’t wait for season three of Hunted.

  7. Well done to Jimi and Holly. Probably the 2 that doubted themsleves the most were the winners which was great.

    Absolutely shattered for the father/son team. They did everything right and played the best game but stuffed up just at the end when they made a run for it far to early.

    I really enjoy this show.

  8. I really enjoyed the show. I’m over the usual suspects like The Block and The Voice. 10 has some refreshing shows. Look forward to The Traitors and love Thank God Your here so far.

  9. Another brilliant series…great fugitives and epic captures! It’s been exciting and unpredictable all the way! Congrats to Holly & Jimi…very deserving winners. More please!
