UK National Television Awards 2023: nominees

Nominees include Happy Valley, Call the Midwife, Vera, Ted Lasso, Ghosts, The Chase, Britain’s Got Talent.

Britain’s National Television Awards have announced finalists for their 2023 awards.

The public voted awards has given Happy Valley three nods including for Returning Drama and stars Sarah Lancashire and James Norton.

Other favourites include Call the Midwife, Vera, Ted Lasso, Ghosts, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!, The Chase, Britain’s Got Talent and Strictly Come Dancing.

Paul O’Grady has received a posthumous nomination for the final series of For the Love of Dogs.

There were no Aussies nominated this year.

  1. Usually with these lists, I’ll think what could be imported, and what could be made into an Australian version. I think House of Games is a potential for an Australian version.

    It’s interesting to see stars like news presenters, reality show hosts, comedians, talk show hosts, etc., in a different light or position.
