  1. AFL and Seven must be stoked (no pun intended with the latter’s chairman), as a team from non-traditional Qld have made the Grand Final, as well as the biggest Vic team in Brisbane Lions and Collingwood. Not just the look for ‘national’, but also ratings wise. Expect a massive bandwagon tune-in from up north (like seen in the Harbour state with the Sydney Swans over the years), Brisbane alone could even do 500 or 600k if a ripper contest and they’re in front, let alone the finish and presentations. Lions also having not made a GF in nearly two decades (since their famous 4 in a row appearances in the early 2000s winning 3 in a row – also all broadcast on Ten).

  2. And now the diehard fans get to see…the third choice of entertainment….the aging rockers Kiss perform at the grand final…for their last ever tour (again)….I just hope Gene can hold it together for the 19 minute without…falling off the stage…. setting his guitar on fire…or worse… a grand entrance onto the stage suspended by wires and getting stuck halfway down….all of which I paid to have the privilege of watching at various venues over the years..that’s when a great band becomes a comedy act and you get value for money too…here’s also hoping it won’t be as bad as Meatloaf and his performance….but they do get to trip about in a private jet…as Paul Stanley says ….”because they’ve earned it”….but rest assured…”it will be great” ..according to Gillon McLachlan 😂
