Report: Death in Paradise down under?

UK producers have reportedly been scouting local locations for hit crime series.

With NCIS taking to Sydney Harbour, could another show be set to call Australia home?

A report on the weekend suggested British-French crime series, Death in Paradise is looking to shoot episodes in Australia.

The Sunday Telegraph reported producers have spent the past two weeks establishing a local production office for the show and have been scouting locations.

But it remains unclear if production would be for S13, which the article suggested, given the show’s official account posted in May saying: “We’re back in Guadeloupe with a splash! Today was our first day of filming series 13 of #DeathInParadise!”

In an Instagram Live Q&A, star Ralf Little revealed that filming is set to finish in Guadeloupe on 29th October 2023, before this year’s Christmas special airs over the festive period in the UK and the full season starts airing in January.

If not for S14, there’s also the outside possibility filming could be for spin-off series Beyond Paradise with stars Kris Marshall & Sally Bretton.

Death in Paradise screens on BBC First and ABC.
