Q: What do the Today show and The Newsreader have in common?
A: Their very own mascots?
On the left is Richard Wilkins with Today‘s Cash-a-Roo in 2017 who was part of a Mega Cash Giveaway to lucky viewers.
On the right is Stephen Peacocke alongside this silent network personality in the fictional 80s drama The Newsreader.
And a runner-up is Dollaroo, who made a cameo appearance in a sketch last night on Thank God You’re Here.

Bicentennial yes, I thought a network mascot.
