In a cross-promo for SAS Australia, Chief Instructor Ant Middleton rappelled from a helicopter with the Peter Brock Trophy, delivering it to the Bathurst 1000 track.
“I’ve been here the whole weekend, seeing the fans, seeing the cars, and seeing the coming together of Australia – it happens right here in Bathurst. And to be able to deliver the Peter Brock Trophy was a complete privilege,” he said.

It was an oddly produced segment with continuity errors with the rotor not spinning when he was harnessing in to the chopper compared to the previous shot walking towards the chopper with blades spinning, and then constantly changing light conditions between shots of him rappelling down when they mixed pre-recorded footage with “live” shots. Anyway, those details stuck out more for me than the cross promotion…
