    1. They included Mara alongside the other regulars in a recent episode, but I haven’t seen her introduction since as I assume that the episodes are played out of production order (and they likely have a backlog of episodes filmed prior to her promotion).

    1. It looks both frustrating and boring.

I hate those coin machines in arcades, and I don’t think I can bare watching a game show with that as the central point of the premise.

    2. I think Tipping Point would make a great video game, but as a play-along-at-home game show, it sorely misses the mark, especially with its tediously long running time.

  1. Where is Professor The Hon. Barry Jones AC FAA FTSE FAHA FASSA ? Only issue may be he would want to debate every answer. Still remember him from “BP Pick-a-Box”. Hilarious.

    1. There is heaps of viewer engagement.

Aside from knowing the questions, there is the “what would I do in this circumstance”.

As well as hoping the counters go the way of your barracking contestant, and not the other.

  2. Seven will need more than that to stop Tipping Point from winning the timeslot. The Chase probably needs to become The Million Dollar Chase or something more that sees the stakes upped

    1. I would’ve thought the slot is 7s to lose. Todd Woodbridge is decent talent but unproven as a game show host. On another note how many Chasers can there be? We have more than the UK already Does this mean The Governess or The Beast won’t return?

    2. The Chase has dominated this timeslot for ages. I can’t see that changing with Tipping Point coming. Tipping Point as a viewing spectacle isn’t incredibly exciting..

      1. I absolutely love both The Chase Australia and Mr Larry Emdur. The inclusion of Larry as host has breathed new life into the show. He is very relaxed and always on the contestants side. I want Tipping Point to bomb so badly, but given what we’ve seen the last several years, never ever challenge the underdog. Todd Woodbridge may prove to be an impeccable host. In any event, I’m sticking with The Chase.

      2. The strong ratings for the UK version of Tipping Point on Nine all point to a local format having a better chance than not of succeeding. Seven successfully launched The Chase Australia after airing the UK version in a daytime slot to high ratings just like those Tipping Point UK are getting. Nine will also heavily promote Tipping Point during the Australian Open and launch it on the Monday after the men’s grand final so momentum is on their side.
