Blue Bloods confirms final season

14th season will be the last for long-running US police procedural.

Long running US police procedural Blue Bloods will end with its upcoming 14th season.

The drama starring Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Will Estes, Bridget Moynahan and Vanessa Ray, will get a two-part final season consisting of 18 episodes.

Variety reports the first 10 will air screen stateside from February 16 while the final block of eight episodes, will screen in late 2024.

“For the past 13 years it has been an honor and a privilege to work on a show that not only celebrates the men and women who protect and serve in New York City, but also displayed the importance of family,” Selleck said in a statement.

“Working alongside these incredible actors, writers, producers, directors and crew has been a dream come true and I’m grateful to have been a part of this extraordinary group for over 275 episodes. Thank you to CBS Studios and CBS Network for their steadfast support and we offer heartfelt gratitude to the fans who gathered with us for dinner every Friday night.”

Blue Bloods screens in Australia on 10, Paramount+ and FOX One.

  1. Sad to read this. But 14 seasons is a good show. I loved the family aspect of this from the beginning, I think that’s what set it apart from all the other Police shows I’ve watched. Of course, I’m a Tom Selleck fan (from his Magnum days), but I really loved the entire cast. It will be a shame to see it end. But it will always be one of the Best.

    1. Always liked how Sunday dinner was worked into the show; to see respective, passionate sparring, old school views vs new age lens. Finishes at the right time when some shows go well past their peak.

  2. Thank god! My bloody father got me into this show months ago and, yes it is good, but I still have eight seasons to go! Thankfully it is finishing as it felt like such a huge investment of time. haha

    I hate to say that I will miss it.
