Today’s Friday Flashback comes via ABC’s Matt Bevan, with a clip too good not to share.
Back in 1976 Four Corners showed Australians a glimpse of the future with this work-from-home computer.
Apparently!
Today's treat from the ABC archive is a 1976 Four Corners report on how a computer researcher is able to work from his (very 70s) home: pic.twitter.com/3sqiXsDet2

Looks like it weighs a ton.
Thank you David and Matt….I love this…it brings back memories of typing up messages on telex machines…plug and cord switchboards…early PABX and PBX phone system…early word processors with floppy disk, diskettes, early MS dos and green screen…golf ball and daisy wheel typewriters…the early dot matrix printers and fax machines…all of which I used throughout my career…oh my days have we come a long way from bulky, clunky, noisy machines that require minimal effort and do the bulk of the work for us…not like I had babysit them…😂
